Suraz
Ibrahim, President & CEO:
Suraz has over 14 years of Telecommunication services
industry experience in marketing, business/strategic
planning, financial management and operations. At
Intermedia Communications, Suraz was the Senior Director
responsible for managing the marketing activities of
Intermedia Communications, a $1B company. Prior to that,
Suraz was a regional CFO at AT&T, responsible for it's
Northeast Long Distance Business. Suraz has Master of
Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
Samuel
Deen, Executive Vice
President: MR. Deen has over 12 years of experience in
Data and Systems Integration. Mr. Deen has implemented
ecommerce solutions for Fannie Mae, Nextel Communications,
Intermedia Communications, and others. Prior to joining
Intermedia Communications, Samuel was the Vice President
and CTO of First Guaranty Mortgage Corp., a $500M/yr
mortgage brokerage firm. Samuel has a Bachelors Degree in
Business Administration and Finance from Radford
University.
Mukit Hossain, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating
Officer: MR. Muki has over 15 years of experience in
Telecommunication services. Most recently, he has
served as the President of ContinewTechnology. Prior
to ContinewTechnology, Mr. Hossain served at Teleglobe
Communication Company as a senior executive in charge of
‘access’ development, and subsequently, for global
buildout of web-hosting, collocation and POP facilities.
Before that, he held several executive level positions in
charge of Program Management, Marketing, Network Planning,
Data Services and Partnership Management at WinStar
Communications. He arrived in the DC area with an
assignment to start the local telecom venture of LCI (now
part of Qwest) – from business/product definition to
implementation. Mr. Hossain entered the CLEC
industry via his assignment to develop market strategy for
Teleport Communication Group (TCG – now AT&T Local).
Mr. Hossain also served in technical and marketing
positions for telecommunication and IT services at
Ameritech and GTE. Mr. Hossain has Bachelors degrees in
Economics, Mathematics and Philosophy from Duke University
and a Masters degree in Economics with emphasis in
Econometrics and Business Management from North Carolina
State University.
Ray Blazier, Senior VP: Ray has 25 years of distinguished
service with the Federal Government at the United States
Department of Agriculture. While in Federal service, he
held many policy leadership positions, including Staff
Assistant to the Secretary of Agriculture, Assistant to
the Administrator of the Rural Electric Administration,
Chief of Planning and Policy of the Farmers Home
Administration, Director of the Management Services
Division of the Rural Housing Service, and Supervisory
Economist on the USDA Service Center Implementation Team.
The major emphasis of his career has been in supplying
economic expertise in information technology planning,
procurement, and policy. Ray was instrumental in upgrading
on a national level the information technology tools
available to USDA employees. We believe Ray's impressive
experience will enable him to build a robust IP, Data and
Voice company and to continue its rapid progress into the
future.
Matt Shlosberg. Senior VP, Marketing and Product Management. Matt
has 13 years of experience in the telecommunications
industry. Prior to joining OpticalBand, Matt was Director
of Advaned Marketing Technology and Product Management at
Intermedia Communications, a $1B firm. Prior to that, Matt
co-founded Impera Corporation, an e-business consulting
organization and LinuxComponents, a Linux products
reseller that became the 3rd largest reseller of Linux
products in the US. Prior to that Matt was a business
consultant for a number of midsized and Global
1000 firms, including Deutsche Bank and Sylvan Learning
Systems. Matt holds a BS in Information Systems from
Excelsior College and MBA from Maryland University.
Carolyn
McCoombs, Senior VP, Consumer
Services: Ms. McCoombs has over 14 years of
Telecommunication services industry experience in
marketing, business planning, new business development and
general management. At her most recent position, Carolyn
directed the consumer long distance business at AT&T.
Carolyn has an MBA from Rutgers University.
